Today marks the 6 month mark that Rick Widdison passed from this life.

We miss him.

A LOT.

Sometimes I can't believe that this isn't all just a bad dream.

This is our new life.

and sometimes it just sucks.

We push through and try to figure out how to adjust to it all.

I hate watching my husband mourn the loss of his HERO.

Someone he loved more than (I dare say) ANYONE in this world!

I know his Dad is proud of him.

Here we are...July, 2011! Just got the internet back after not having it for about 2-3 months. I have missed looking at blogs. It has also made me realize how many things i would like to write down, but when the internet was down i couldn't. for instance-
last night while driving home from provo, Ashlyn was being so good putting on her new lip gloss we had just bought her.
I turned around and said "Ashlyn, you are so GORGEOUS!!"
beaming she says "ya mom, I cute!" (or so i thought that was what she said"
then i say, "OH! yesss, you're cute."
in a softer tone she then said "no mom, like you! I gorgeous like you!!!"
ok, my heart melted right there and i started to get a little teary.
"Mommy, don't cry. I'm sorry..."
I want to remember these things! I don't want to let life get too busy and forget the little things.
Treyden is a lot of fun right now. He is beginning to like to get a rise out of his sister and he lives for it. A typical brother, right?

This cute little boy had his 1st birthday on Saturday.
We had so much fun with family that came to celebrate with us!
Cookie monster was the theme. We had cookie monster cupcakes, cake and shirts that Skylar and I wore.
Treyden is such a joy. I really feel so lucky to have such a sweet boy come into my family.
He is crawling all over the place right now. Starting to stand a little on his own. Walks along the furniture. Loves going up the stairs.
He is such a momma's boy right now. He just wants me to hold him all the time. If I am not holding him then he want me by him.
He says Ashlyn when I tell him to. Not clearly, but he gives it good effort.
He is such a bright spot in our lives!

ok, i know i'm terrible at this blogging thing, but my goal was to be better. not perfect. so on that note...

tomorrow is February. I can't believe that. time is going by way too fast.

The year has been great so far.

This month we went to hawaii with some of the briggs family members. It was such a great time! We even left the kids for the first time. It was great.

Ashlyn had a birthday while we were gone so we had a birthday party for her when we got back. she is such a fun little girl. She sure is lucky to have lots of people that love her so much.

So, yesterday i had a little scare with my blog. I typed in the blog address and it said that it no longer existed.

It made me sick.

I don't blog enough.

That doesn't mean it's too late to start.

I think that sometimes i feel like i am not the most computer smart, so i let that hold me back.

I may not have the BEST looking blog out there, and i may not be the best writer, but i know it's important to keep memories.

I already find myself looking back a year ago and loving the memories that we created.

My dad is a man i look up to and he said something today as i was kind of complaining about how hard this stage of life is. He said "Traci, when i am gone and you are my age, you will look back and realize how fast time goes. Enjoy it because it goes too fast." I need to do that more. Take the time to appreciate the good times.

So anyway, i got the whole situation figured out and it was just a problem with my gmail account. It was a wake up call though to keep my thoughts and memories in writing.

I love my little family so much!

I am happy!

My life is good, I am so blessed.

New Beginning

I have decided it's about time to get back to blogging! More for journaling than anything else. I feel bad that it has taken me this long to get back to doing it, but like they say...better late then never.

Life is GOOD.

I feel seriously so blessed to have the 2 wonderful children that i have. We were just watching home video of the last year and WOW! What a year it has been. My little Ashlyn girl was 5 months when we found out she was going to be a big sister. Which was hardly believable because she was still such a baby. Treyden entered the world on March 5 and we love him so much. He is growing into such a strong, fun little guy.

We have enjoyed the summer so much. We bought a trailer and have gone camping a few times. Ashlyn loves it, but i think next year will be more fun for all of us.

We have also gone out on the Deer Creek Reservoir a few times. Ashlyn is such a water bug. I can't believe she gets in that water without a complaint (well almost) She is so fun right now! I love hanging out with her. She seriously is my little buddy. she is daddys little buddy too!

At the end of the day we like to unwind by taking a ride in the Jeep all together. It's quite a site! I ride in the back with Ashlyn and Treyden rides in the front seat (it's not quite as windy up there) Both of the kids just love it! We turn up the music..Lately it's been the black eyed peas and Ashlyn sings along. She seriously sings "Boom, Boom, BOOM" in the right tune and everything! She makes me proud...ha ha

Like I said before....LIFE IS GOOD!

WOW! It's hard to describe the feeling when something so AWESOME happens to someone you know. This family had a tragedy happen to them about a week and a half ago. their youngest child had drowned in their bathtub, but this little boy is awake! ALIVE! His little spirit is back.... i have been following their blog to check for updates every couple of hours, every day, i have become OBSESSED because SO many people have been praying for this little boy and the prayers are being answered! if anyone still looks at our blog, yes! We are alive! i know its been since July that i have posted and i have good excuses, but we wont get into it too much. Lets just say with no working computer at home, a baby and some other things, my blog has taken a back seat!

Just had to let you all know (if you dont already) that i am expecting again! That's right, my 9 month old is going to be a big sister at the age of 14 months! After a bit of shock, We are super excited (it took us 3 years to get prego with Ashlyn) we found out its a boy! YAY! one of each!

July has brought the heat! It has been great to finally feel like it's summer here. I love the evening walks we take here in midway to get a sno-cone and hanging out on the porch! Summer is great.

The 4th of July was fun. We spent the weekend in Manti where they do a great old town celebration. They have a parade on the 3rd and my nephew, Tanner was so adorable riding his decked out bike! The next day we participated in potato sack races, 3 legged races and climbing the greased log pole. We set up chairs and blankets under some shade and camped out there for the day. It was really nice and relaxing and i hope we can do it again next year!

Last weekend was my 25th birthday. Skylar and I went to Park City and went on the Alpine Slide and the Coaster. (Highly recommended) A bit overpriced, but we had a lot of fun!

We have gone to the lake a few times now and are lucky to be able to have such beautiful places to go that are so close.

in my last post i told the summer weather i was ready, but apparently the summer weather wasn't ready to come. It has been so rainy the last few weeks, but finally the sun is out! YAY!

June has been good though. We celebrated Skylars birthday in Vegas. we left ashlyn for the first time with some friends. It was by far the hardest thing i have ever done, but once i got over my sobbing, i was able to really enjoy the weekend with skylar! we stayed at treasure island for 2 nights and went to cirque de soleil. It was a lot of fun. plus i got to spend some time at my favorite store ever! SEPHORA! Ashlyn was in great hands and i have to thank Kayla and Matt for taking such good care of her! they will be great parents

we saw our brother in law Mike while he was in town and the only thing that would have made that better is if my sister and her family could have been here with him! it was great to see him though.

oh, and i went to my friend Ambers house for a little reunion! I have not seen her since before she was pregnant with her little girl Brooklyn, and now she is 9 months old! It was a fun experience to see eachother and our babies for the first time! It was great to get together and catch up on eachothers lives! I just wish we lived a little closer so we could do that more often.

ashlyn and i spent the weekend being very sick. i could have sworn i had no more to throw up, but it just kept coming. i sent ashlyn to Grandma Widdisons in hopes that i could get some rest, but the poor little thing was sick too. It made me so sad. She was such a trooper! I was whining the whole day and she just dealt with it like it was nothing.

i can't believe it's June!

i can't believe we have been married for 5 years!

I can not even believe that Ashlyn is over 4 months old! 4 months and 2 weeks to be exact!

she is the light in skylar and my eyes~!

everything looked really good with her checkup. She was 14 lbs 10.5 ounces and 24 inches long.

She's kinda short and a little chunky! let's hope she grows out of that. ha ha

on the 26th of May skylar and i celebrated our 5 year anniversary!!! YAY!!

he surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of roses and a sweet note to go along with it...and something with the note- tickets to Taylor Swift that night! he lined up a babysitter for the night and we enjoyed the night together! It had been awhile since it was just us 2! I seriously never knew someone could be so good live! She was so entertaining and talented! I've become obsessed with her now (even more than i already was) we had so much fun!! Thanks babe-

I know it has been way too long since i last updated. Its been about a month since my last post and things have been going pretty good. We went to Mexico with the Widdison clan the first week of April. I wont go into great detail, but lets just say that because Ashlyn was sick and we got a bunch of things stolen out of our room, it wasn't the best trip we've ever had. Ashlyn did great on the plane and that was a great thing, but while we were there it just didn't really feel like much of a vacation. It was great, however, to be able to spend a lot of time with Skylar!

Easter was great. We went to the Widdisons 20 acres and had a big easter egg hunt and roasted hot dogs on the fire. Then later that afternoon we went to the Briggs and had another fun easter egg hunt and had a lot of fun. It's always good to get together with family!

Ashlyn is chunking up a ton and i feel like she changes every day! She is just over 13 lbs now and she is getting so fun! She smiles a lot and is starting to giggle!

Ashlyn is such a doll! We just can't even believe how fast time is going though. She was 2 months old a week ago so we went and had her 2 month check up and everything looks great! She is growing like a champ and has doubled her weight! She is 10 lbs and 23 inches now. She did so good when she had to get her shots. She scrame for a minute and then was happy to be held by her daddy. Skylar adores this little girl!!

We just got done watching the apprentice which featured ACN and it's own product,

I can not believe how quick time goes by! My baby is already 6 weeks old and i am happy that she is growing strong and healthy, but i am also sad that she is growing up! Everyone says soak it all up cause time goes by too fast and it's sooooo true!
Skylar and i have not stopped our usual lifestyle of going going going. After all, it's what we did for 4 years before Ashlyn came! We went to St George 2 weekends in a row. It was a nice change of scenery, but poor little Ashlyn doesn't like being in the car for that long and i can't blame her. Also, it was quite a change to have to stop at some point to feed her, but it worked out fine.
We went to the Jazz game on Saturday night with Ryan and Kelsie and had a great time, but i was way sad to leave Ashlyn. I knew she was in good hands with my mom and dad, but it was crazy to leave her for the first time. It was a great time and i nice relief to just be a couple and have a fun time together!
I am going to start working again tomorrow and i definately have mixed feelings. I am happy to be seeing my awesome clients again, but sad to be taking time away from my baby! Wish me luck.
Mexico is coming up here in about 4 weeks and i am way looking forward to it!

Anyway, life as a new mom is the most rewarding, wonderful thing i have ever experienced. i love her more than i ever imagined and i love skylar more because of her! He is such a great dad and partner to me! Thanks babe!

Yesterday we were blessed to understand the feeling of having a baby born into this world that we can call ours. There is no greater feeling in this world than the amazing love for such a pure being that you call your "child". Our precious little angel was brought into this world by such an amazing person that we can now call "mommy". I have the most incredible wife. She is an inspiration to me everyday. Her strength and determination is prodigious!!! She is someone that any dad would give anything to be the mommy of his children. I am so thankful for the blessing of "MY GIRLS". I Love them with all my heart and cherish every second I have with them!!!!

20 weeks! HALF WAY THERE!

yesterday i was officially 20 weeks along in my pregnancy and i can't believe it! Things have been going pretty smoothly and i am feeling pretty good now! The morning sickness has gone out the window, although now i am getting heartburn and stretching in my stomach quite regularly.

We get to go have an ultrasound on thurday and i can't wait to see our baby again! I am hoping they still say it is a girl, although i have not gotten too many things yet, just in case they say it's not a girl! That would be crazy.

I have had some requests for my belly pictures at this point, but i feel like there is nothing to show off yet, just a little more fat insulation is all! But, here are a couple pics anyway, just for fun.

WOW! Life sure sends some things your way when you're just living comfortably doesn't it? I just need to vent and i guess a blog is as good as anything to get some things off your chest!
Things could have been a lot worse, but let me just say that we found a big mess in our basement yesterday. Somehow, in our house that's not even a year old yet, there has been a flood! A real and not so small flood has made our basement go from comfy and not often used by us to me feeling like i am starting all over with this building process. Although now, we actually live in the house upstairs and dust is already starting to invade! I have to say though that i am very lucky it did not affect my home salon, but it's not the prettiest thing to walk in to for my clients!
The water sat since Sunday. (Don't ask me how i didn't notice it on Monday, but i guess with shoes on and it being a little dry already, i just didn't notice)
So now, all the carpet is gone, base boards are off and dry wall is off about half way up the wall. Yep, it looks like we are starting over! It seriously is such a mess and i can't believe it. I just have to keep telling myself that it could be worse! It could have afftected my salon and i would have some unhappy clients and it could have happened when i was a lot further along and many other things that could make it worse!
So-that's it-I just had to vent about it for a minute-i already feel a little better :)

Sophie's blessing

This post is for my sisters who live in alaska that don't get to participate in the family events. I hope these pictures help you feel a part of what's been going on.

Sophie's blessing was on sunday and she looked so beautiful! Marci made her dress and it turned out great. Ryan also did a great job on the blessing and we were all able to get together at Ryan and Marci's house afterward for some breakfast.

Kelli came over to the house later with her twins, Dean and Elysee. They were 2 1/2 weeks old in the pictures. She has got her hands full! Ella was not even there and i don't know how she keeps up with it all. She is a great mom.

I'm having a little bit of a pity party this morning. Skylar left to Alaska to go fishing with his dad and the guys and i miss him so much already! It's definately not my idea of fun to have him gone. Although, i have to say that in the past when they have gone to Alaska, i feel like a little giddy child when it's time for his return! It really is a good thing to miss eachother, but i already can't wait to see him again! Might I add too that he is in the middle of nowhere so he has NO phone service. So, I can't even talk to him for a whole week. That's really hard for me, considering i talk to him like 20 times a day!

1- Where did you meet? Skylar and I met in high school. We kind of just hung out with the same group of friends and it all started there.
2- How long did you date before you were married? We dated for about 4 years before we were married
3- How long have you been married for? 4 and a 1/2 years
4- What does he do that surprises you? He acts really goofy when we are together and he loves to make me laugh. Most people don't know that side of him, but i know the real Skylar!
5- What's your favorite feature about him? I love everything about him, but i especially love his eyes and i love how tall he is!
6- What's your favorite quality about him? He is a very honest person. He is very good with people and good at what he does. He works very hard.
7- Does he have a nickname for you? We just both call eachother babe all the time, in fact when he calls me Traci it seems really wierd
8- What's his favorite color? I would say blue, but then again, i don't really know, he likes every color
9- What's his favorite food? I would have to say spaghetti, but not just any spaghetti, but the way his mom makes it.
10-What is his favorite sport? Golf in the summer and basketball any other time of the year
11- Who said I love you first? ya know, it was so long ago, i don'e reameber the exact first time we said we loved eachother. I'm pretty sure he said it first though, i was pretty shy!
12- When and where was your fist kiss? I still remember it like it was yesterday! We went on a date to watch a movie and when he dropped me off, he kissed me in my garage.
13-What's your favorite thing to do as a couple? We just like to be together! We don't really have a specific favorite thing to do together, but my favorite times are when we are just home, hanging on the couch, cuddling :)
14-Do you have kids? How many? We don't have any just yet, but i am expecting our first baby Feb 8 and we can't wait!
15- What's a hidden talent that he has? ya, i will have to think about that one, he always knows how to make up with me when we are fighting, even if i want to be mad, he can come make me laugh and it breaks the ice.
16- How old is he? 25

We went and had an ultrasound yesterday to find out the gender of our little peanut and.....

We are so excited! I must say that she was very cooperative and gave us a perfect shot to be able to tell what she was. The tech was 100% positive this baby is a girl. It was so fun to watch her move around in there and to realize it's for real! This little one is going to have her daddy wrapped around her finger! We are both extatic and can't wait for her grand entrance in Feb.

Boring thursday

Well, i am always checking to see if any of your blogs are updated, so i decided i need to start updating more often!
Today i did not work because i got a notice on my door from midway saying that the water was going to be turned off today, so i called all my appts today and rescheduled them. I had the day to get things done, so what do i do? NOTHING! I cleaned up my house a little, but i did not really accomplish a whole lot. I was able to go to lunch with my mom and niece, Ella and that was good!
I am finally beginning to look a little more pregnant than fat! I feel like people still can't tell that there is a baby in there! They must just think that i had a little too much to eat for lunch:)
Skylar and i can not wait for Monday to come! We are going to find out what we are having! I will be just over 16 weeks. I will make sure to update when we find out what the gender is!
My sister Kelli had her twins yesterday and i have not been able to see them, but have heard how very different they look and also how different their little personalities are! She did great and was able to have them both vaginally and that is amazing! Dean was 5 lbs. 13 oz and Elizae (not sure how to spell it) was 5 lbs. 2 oz. SO GOOD JOB KEL!!! You are a great mom!

Hi everybody! I promise, i am still alive and doing well! I guess that the only excuse i have for not being up to date is that i have been busy having fun this summer.

We have not done any true vacationing, but have had some fun little weekend trips. It was so great to have my sister erika and her little family here from Alaska, but they are gone now and it's sad:(

Since i last posted, i have had a niece born to my brother Ryan and Marci. They named her sophie. And i had a nephew born, Keegan, to Skylar's little sister Kelsie. Babies are so precious, but they grow too fast! My sister Kelli is about ready to pop being pregnant with twins. She looks so great though! I can't believe that she has 2 babies in her belly.

I am doing well in my pregnancy. I am 14 weeks along tomorrow and things seem to be going well. I have a dr. appointment tomorrow and i can't wait to hear the heartbeat again! Sickness is still lingering around, but my magic pills (Zofran) has been just that, MAGIC! They make me feel so much better and i feel really lucky that i was able to take them.

We went to lava hot springs in idaho for a family reunion last weekend and had a lot of fun floating down the river.
I can't think of anything else for now, but now you are all caught up, kind of.

I had a great birthday this year! It was my 24th birthday on Friday and it was quite the day. Without going into too much detail i will say that after some bad situations the day ended up being great. I got to spend the day with the person i love most and it was great.

During the day we got to go to deer creek and be on the boat for a bit (we ended up having to be towed back to the dock) My friend Brittany and her little girl Bella came along and we had fun.

I wish i would have taken a picture of this, but we went over to my mom and dads house that night and watched a movie outside with a projector and then slept out there. It was so much fun, but so COLD!

I got some awesome gifts! First off, Skylar got me some awesome chairs for my sitting area just outside my salon and i love them!

i got some clothes, and skylar walked in that morning from work with like 15 balloons and a dozen red roses with one yellow rose. He wrote the sweetest card, too cute to not post.

and then at the bottom of the card it said P.S. have fun at the concert! and he whipped these out

Carrie underwood tickets! How fun! I was so surprised! I will be quite pregnant by then, but we will have so much fun! It is November 19! I can't wait to go!

Then his parents stopped by and brought some awesome cakes! Yes, i said cakes. My father in law was in charge of ordering them and got 3! They were so pretty and yummy, but i forgot to take a picture of them:( They also brought my present from them and i love them! There is a theme to this birthday....CHAIRS! I got some chairs for our front patio and they look perfect! My mother in law has great taste!

All I have to say is

IT'S ABOUT TIME!

Skylar and I have a BIG announcement to make.....

WE ARE EXPECTING OUR FIRST BABY!

I am officially 7 weeks and my due date is February 8. It seems like a long time away, but i know it will go by fast! Maybe not though, with the way i have been feeling time is going by way too slow! There is no such thing as morning sickness! It is 24 hour sickness for me. Now, I know we all go through this, but it is way hard working 10 hour days and being sick. Somehow, i know i will get through it and it will all be worth it in the end.

I won't give a big drawn out story, but Skylar and I are so excited. It has been a long time coming and it is such a miracle!

After trying for 2 and 1/2 years i had finally gotten to the point of resigning myself to the fact that i may never have my own children. I have no doubt now that Heavenly Father has a plan for all of us and i can not doubt that now is the time for us to bring a child into the world!

Well, I did it! I have come to the dark side! ha ha

I colored my hair like the next day after i posted the last one and i have loved it! I didn't have my camera and just got it back so i thought i would post my new hair. It already feels a lot healthier and i don't know why it took me so long to do it, but i love it! and so does my husband, so that helps a little. However, i was really surprised that he liked it cause he tends to be more attracted to the long blonde type. So, anyway, it's been a week and it has already faded a ton, so i think i will be coloring it again soon!

I just got back from New York with the Widdison girls and i have never had so much fun! I have to blog about it when i get some pictures from my sisters, but i just have to say that it is AMAZING there! I didn't think i would like it that much to be honest, but i was so wrong! I loved loved loved it! All of it! But especially the broadway musical WICKED! It was seriously as good as you hear it is! I can't stop singing the songs in my head. and the make-up store SEPHORA is my favorite. It is open til midnight every night! Purse shopping in Chinatown was great as well! I bought 6purses that are adorable.

This weekend has been fun, but as always has gone by too fast. It's sunday afternoon and that means Monday is approaching too fast. But guess what the best part about that is?.... i don't dread monday because i wake up and go to my basement to do hair. it's the greatest thing ever! i feel so lucky.

We started out by doing nothing friday night which i guess i should feel lucky that we can sit around and not worry about anything. AT least that's what people with kids always tell me. "Enjoy it while you can!" So that's what we did. Then Saturday we bummed around then finally decided on a plan. Kelsie (Skylar's sister) and i were craving cafe rio (what's new), kelsie saw a dog on ksl that she really wanted and skylar has been looking at bullet bikes on ksl for the last week religiously every day searching. So, there was one on there that i actually saw first and showed it to him and neither of us could stop thinking about it. You have to understand that in the last year we have gone through 3 different bikes, and with the weather warming up skylar could not get his mind off of getting a new one. So, we all decided to go together to Provo/ Salt Lake to look at least and think about it. Well, once we saw the dog, there was no thinking about it. He is so stinking cute and such a good puppy! It makes me want one really bad, but i know that not all puppys are like that! Here he is-his name is Hurley

So that's the dog story, well next came the bullet bike. We pull up to the house and it was over the second that skylar looked at it. Then he rode it and there was no getting him off of it. and he looked really good too. ha ha

Sorry that it has been forever since i have posted anything! Life has been kinda crazy lately. I recently decided to take my business home and start doing hair out of my cute salon in my house. I am super excited about it and the first week of working from home was awesome! I seriously love it so much!

Mexico was beautiful. We had a great vacation with the widdison family and are looking forward to the next time we go back there. Here are a few pictures to look at

Here we are almost ready to go to MEXICO! I am so ready for the warm weather. We leave on Saturday and I am so excited!

This last week has been awesome! My brother Matt got home on Thursday and it was so much fun to see him again after 2 years. He looks great and has already gotten a lot accomplished in just under a week! He already bought a car, got a cell phone and is probably getting a job tomorrow! He is such a go-getter. So, please, let me explain these pictures for you. My family is a little crazy sometimes....well, most of the time! We are in public and we don't even care...I Love it! My brother in law John grew a real mustache and dressed like a Sherriff. He is so funny. Anyway-he brought a package of fake ones for all the boys to wear but us girls wanted to join in on the fun...and don't forget the babies!

What's Happening

I was just going through some of my pictures and found one of the outside of the house. So, since that has not been posted yet, i thought since you have all seen the inside, i would show you the outside. This is before all of the snow decided to dump on us in Midway, but we have a lot of work to do when the spring comes. It is going to be a muddy mess!

Doesn't that porta potty look great in front of the house? ha ha something kind of funny... Skylar and I just barely got all of our stickers out of the windows just this morning. There is always work to be done around the house and things as simple as that take a couple of months to get to, I guess!

Another thing that i have been so excited about is my little brother Matt to come home. He has been in Brazil on his mission and he comes home on Wednesday! We get to see him on Thursday because of the time it takes to travel here. Can't wait to see him!

Yesterday was my neice Ella's 1st birthday party and she had so much fun. She is going to be a big sister to twins! Kelli, my sister is having the babies in August, I think. So, she is going to have her hands full. Here is Ella a couple of months ago. Happy Birthday!

We are going to St George for Easter weekend with my family. My parents built a house down there this last year and it is definately something i look forward to! It is going to be a good weekend! This is a picture of the house when we went down in January

And one more thing. Mexico here we come. The weekend after we go to St George, we head to Mazatlan, Mexico with Skylar's family. It is spring break while we go down and it is insane! It's going to be fun!

Guess what everybody? I did it!! I really ran a half marathon. 13.1 miles! There should be nothing half about it. Someone needs to make a new name for it. How about the... i don't know. i can't think of a new name, but it is crazy! No, i really actually am really happy that it is something i was able to accomplish. When I got to the finish line i was sure i would never do another race. However, i find myself looking for another one that i could train better for and do again! it's been awhile

Sorry everyone who checks up on what's been going on with Skylar and I lately. I have been quite the slacker on being up to date. Really not a lot has gone on. We were able to go to St. George two weekends ago which was really fun. We went to the Parade of homes and went to a couple movies while we were down there and it was great. The homes are insanely beautiful. It's amazing what some people do with their money. One home in particular was 21,000 square feet! It was AMAZING! a little rediculous, but beautiful!
I can not say enough how excited i am for my brother to come home! My little bro, Matt is going to be home from his mission from Brazil on March 20! I can not believe it and i am so excited!
This coming week we are planning to go to St. George again and i can't wait. I am planning on going running down there 12 miles. I have a 1/2 marathon coming up on March 8 in Moab and i am so nervous! 13 MILES? Are you kidding me? well, i hope i can make it. So, while we are in st george, i am going to try to run 12 miles and see how i do. WISH ME LUCK!

Relaxing weekend

This last weekend was also a pretty nice weekend. Nothing like last weekend of going going going, but we had a nice relaxing weekend at home. We were planning on going to St. George, but decided not to at the last minute. We went to the hunting expo in Salt Lake on Saturday (if any of you know me, you would never picture me somewhere like that) but it wasn't bad. Lot's of dead, stuffed animals but it was entertaining. We went with Tyson, Skylar's younger brother and his wife Brittany. Then we went to the Olive Garden and ate. It was yummy! We seriously came home and did nothing the rest of the night but sit and watch TV. I feel like such a lazy butt when i say that, but our DVR recorder is such a great thing! We record all of our favorite shows and i can't stand watching live TV anymore cause the commercials drive me nuts! Ha Ha

We have family night with the Briggs side once a month where we all get together and have dinner and catch up on life and have a lesson. This month it was at our house and it was so much fun! I love my family so much. We had poppyseed chicken and everyone brought a side dish to share! It was Alyvia's birthday yesterday and she turned 4. We had fun just sitting around and the nedxt thing you know Jeff and John went down to my new salon and started cutting away at Jeff's hair. It was so FUNNY! I wouldn't cut it because i didn't have me normal scissors, but they decided they would do it themselves. IT WAS THE WORST HAIRCUT i have ever seen. We ended up just buzzing it all off after but I'm sure you will enjoy the pictures!

Anyway, it's Monday already and a new week begins!

HOLY SNOW!

So skylar and i had a great weekend! They always seem to go way too fast, but we were able to do some fun things. Saturday came and skylar had to work which was kind of a bummer, but it went quickly so it wasn't too bad. Then Skylar's brother Tyson had decided to move that afternoon. We got in, moved them out and moved them in to their new house all within about two hours! It was seriously awesome. They have only been married for about 5 months so they didn't have too much stuff accumulated. They actually moved in the house next to ours. It's now officially Widdison circle. So we came home and got some things packed to go down to salt lake. We had it planned to go to The Roof restaurant in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and then to stay at the Hotel Monaco. It was such a fun time! We had a great dinner and had fun being away from home for the weekend! We ate breakfast at the Bambara, where Lisa works, and it was so yummy! We were able to sit and talk to her for awhile and skylar decided we better head home cause his sister had sent him a text and picture message of the weather in Midway and it looked crazy! She said it had snowed about 2 feet! So, we headed up the canyon and it literally was nothing....no snow, no clouds, and than BAM! The storm just came! It was insane. The roads were completely covered and cars were sliding off the road left and right. So....it took us awhile to get home, but we made it! Skylar loves driving in the snow so i guess that's a good thing.

Yesterday we went to his parents house for the super bowl and it was lots of fun! I can't believe the Giants won! But, it was a great weekend filled with moving, lots of snow, and lots of food!

Wow wow wow. I don't even know how the time is going by so fast but somehow it is. Skylar and I are keeping busy with work and life in general. I don't know how all of you that have kids keep up with a daily schedule! I feel like time is flying by so fast for us. We both work all day, come home, have dinner and hang out all night at home and then wake up the next day to do it all over again! Somehow it all works though. I feel so blessed to be able to do what i do. It's such a great job for me and i can't wait til i start working from home in my new little salon we made for me!
I am loving our new home! How did i get so lucky to have what i do? Cleaning it though?....not so fun. It is so beautiful and i can't believe it's mine. I just can't wait til we can fill it up with kids though. In case anybody doesn't know, Skylar and I have had quite the struggle to have kids! We have been off birth control for over two years and somehow have not been able to get pregnant. To make a long story short, I have endometriosis and need to get a small surgery and that should help us to get on our way. But..... insurance considers it a pre-existing condition and now we can't get the surgery til next year! hmmmmm.... IT really sucks, but i guess in the big picture a year really isn't that long to wait. Luckily I am young enough that we have time to figure out other ways or options of having children if we need to. Anyway, that's my story and I'm stickin to it! ha ha
